Kung Fu course for Kids
The kung fu course consists of two fundamental parts: the martial propaedeutic and the study of the "forms" - sequences of movements inspired by the attitude of the animals. Through the martial propedeutic exercises, the children learn the basic techniques belonging to all styles of kung fu, they learn that technical elements of brace and legs, principles of coverage and parade, they learn to fall, not to be afraid of contact with the other. General athletic training and specific exercises for coordination and strengthening complete this sector. The study of forms, on the other hand, involves learning a sequence of movements that simulates an imaginary fight inspired by the movement of animals such as the dragon or the tiger. This type of work, in addition to developing the child's mobility and fluency, increases their mnemonic and attention capacities. The students will then be able to understand the application part of the movements illustrated by the forms thanks to specific exercises in groups and in pre-established pairs.
Obiettivi
By creating a high mind-body balance, kung fu stimulates the memory and learning potential that the child possesses. Thanks to the teaching method, kung fu also helps to develop the capacity for attention that leads children, alone and in groups, to face problems and solve them. Through individual and group work on movements that require fluency, speed and control, it is possible to promote the socialization of children. A further objective of the Kung fu course is to promote the understanding of the roles within the group and the acceptance of the responsibilities that one has towards the others and oneself.
