THE COURSE AND THE MASTER

The DECODE intensive course offers a unique opportunity to come into direct contact with Master Mauro A. D'Angelo. In addition to scheduled appointments throughout the year, you will have the opportunity to stay in constant contact through a platform dedicated exclusively to students of the intensive course. This approach recreates the traditional close relationship between master and student, adapting it to the needs of modern life.

This course focuses on depth of practice and quality of results. It is designed for those who wish to work on the essence of martial arts, using them as a tool for inner and physical transformation. The practice thus becomes a means of exploring and developing one's potential, both on a personal and martial level.

The DECODE teaching method is the result of years of experience and in-depth research. Master Mauro A. D'Angelo has studied and practiced different Chinese internal styles, such as Wing Chun, Tai Ji Quan, Ba Gua Zhang and Yiquan (Dacheng Quan). Currently, he lives in China for a large part of the year, where he carries out a research project on traditional martial arts. This continuous study and putting-in-practice is reflected in his teaching approach, which combines tradition and innovation to provide a unique and profound learning experience.

PROGRAM

The reason the course is called intensive because it offers the deepest and most intensive learning of the Decode program. Each exercise will be analyzed in detail for you to learn its key points and gain autonomy in practice.

All the appointments will be divided into practice sessions and study sessions. In the study session you will get the theoretical knowledge of the program and the propaedeutics of the exercises. In the practice session the Master will guide you in the training session and correct your training.

To be able to develop concrete skills is the primary purpose of the intensive course. It offers the best way to understand the potential of your own body and mind and learn it directly from someone who has already developed it and has the desire to pass it on.

Once the three-year course has been completed, other than continuing on the ever more enriching journey of internal alchemy, the program offers also new aspects of internal practice: internal strength development, traditional weapons, traditional combat, and oriental training tools.

YEAR 2 YEAR 3 AND SPECIALIZATION COURSE

Year 2 and Year 3 will both be consisted of 8 Intensive Modules instead of 6 as in the first year.

From Year 4, once the final examination of the three-year course is completed, it will be possible to enter the specialization programs and other DECODE areas of study: Inner Song Alchemy, Inner Hun Yuan Li Alchemy, Combat, Traditional Weapons and Tools.

Every 3 years a new instructor course starts, and this season there is an opportunity to join the new training group. Only those enrolled in the intensive course, if interested, can also join this training to acquire the teaching method and skills to run a weekly course. An opportunity not to be missed!

INTENSIVE COURSE IN ROME

The intensive modules will be at Decode's Italian Headquarter, Via Alfredo Casella 23 - Rome.

The Residential Modules and Summer Camp will be at a hotel facility in central Italy.

Hotel expenses are not included in the annual fee.

Intensive modules will be at Kwoon Kung Fu, Via Apelle 8 - Milan.

Frequently asked questions

1Who can participate in this course?
While candidates are usually almost all experienced practitioners of other disciplines, no special technical or theoretical skills are required. The new group will start with the fundamental aspects of practice. What is absolutely necessary is to have a sincere desire to practice with quality and depth.
2What kind of recognition is given at the end of the course?
The intensive course is officially recognized by the CSEN sports promotion association and the CONI. Those interested, together with the intensive course, can take the instructor training course. After they pass the instructors exam, they can receive a sports diploma for teaching Qi Gong and Traditional Wushu recognized officially by Italian Sports Bureaus.
3If I miss one appoitment of the intensive course can I recover it?
Each year you need to indicate which location you choose to attend the intensive modules. If you miss a module you can recover it at the other location.
4Once enrolled, am I obligated to finish the three-year course?
No, there is no strings attached. At the end of each year(after the summer camp) you can decide whether to continue the course. We strongly encourage you to finish at least the foundational three years so that you can have an overview of our programs.
